This is the absolute best breakfast and lunch joint in town. Everything is made to perfection. And the steaks are simply amazing and always prepared exactly to how one orders them. Also, the prices are very low compared to every other diner in town, which is amazing because on top of being the best diner in terms of quality of food, these folks are also the most generous in terms of proportions.

Good Service is all that is good. Worst food ever. Small helpings. So high priced. Starters like frozen. Entrees; Steak small and tough. Chicken pot pie, crust like cardboard, filling tasteless. (Banquet frozen is better). Deserts; German chocolate cake looked great, was dry and tasteless! Toffee sundae? 3 scoops of icecream & whipcream with a drizzle of what tasted like cheap jar toppings, for amost 5 bucks!! We feel so sorry for all the people drawn in by the smell of the outside Barbeque they keep going outside. Save your money, go to Denny's or Cocoas, they are far superior. Rancho C has some very good restaurants, both upscale and moderately priced. This one is a waste of real estate, and the publics money.

Strange. We moved here 3 years ago, and Richie's was so close to us, that was the first place we ate out at. I always remember them serving chips, which was odd as heck. But I could have sworn that recently they finally started serving fries with the burgers?? Did they switch back to chips again??
Anyways, Richie's is what it is, a diner, and not a great one at that. Once in a while we crave chocolate-peanutbutter-banana shakes so, for that, it works...

I've never been to the Richie's in Temecula, but I've dined at the Murrieta location about 5 times since moving here 2 months ago. I've loved it every time! We've even taken out-of-towners there for breakfast! The service is so friendly and fast. The food is fantastic. I think it's a good value for the quality. The creamy banana pie is to-die-for. I'm very surprised at the negative reviews on this site.

Real American Diner???? Real Amercian diners don't serve tortilla chips w/ the burgers!!!! For crying out load, what are you thinking? FRENCH FRIES!!!! If we wanted a taste of the border, Rubio's is nest door. I politely asked for fries w/ the burger and after 20 min of waiting I sent the burger back and had the order taken off the bill. The salads, appetizers, and meals were served at the same time leaving no room on the table. We asked for friuit for our one year and got melon still on the rhine. That was fun to cut up with no room on the table. The food tasted bad!!! No attention to detail or service. Richies used to be one of our favorite places to go for a retro kinda restaurant, but it has turned into a disaster. Please tell the cooks and management they're no longer Mexico and to pay attention to the "Real American Diner" culture.

The Richies on 79 South STINKS. Poor management has even ruined their once great desserts. They destroyed the cobbler. AVOID THIS PLACE. The one on Jefferson/Front Street used to be real good now its on Murrieta Hot Springs Road. Havent tried it yet, but I hope the owners keep a closer eye on this one than the 79 South establishment.

We dined at the new Richie's last night and thought it was going to be an excellent experience, but it was TERRIBLE. It was freezing cold, I know with the weather lately who would be complaining? Every table around us was freezing as well. The color scheme, though it's supposed to be 50's, it is very unappealing inside, absolutely no warmth whatsoever. We ordered the burgers (1/2 lb., mushroom, children's burger meal) and the meat was like slices of beef jerky. I'd recommend In 'n Out Burgers because you get your food fast at In 'n Out, it's HOT, and the price is significantly lower. Oh, we ordered a soda and a shake, the total was nearly $30!!! Unbelievable. Total thumbs down. I was bummed... hope you avoid such disappointment. Fellow Murrietan.

I have been to both Richie's and find the food to be great, and as to the comment of the last gentelman Rob, I also find the service to be freindly and competion, he should consider the fact that they have only been open 10 days and in most new locations there are some problems give the people at Richies a chance to work out the kinks that occur in any business. Well I hope you all give them a few weeks and I'm sure they will be on top of things just as they have at thier other locations.

Yes the food is good but the service???? on a recent visit with the grandkids for ice cream my wife ordered a banna split it took 30 minuites to get and had no bannas mentioned it to the server and she responded I guess we are out of bannas???are you kidding me! they offered to give us a $1.00 DISCOUNT. This is not the first time we have experenced this kind of service but it WILL BE THE LAST!! this place needs to take a long hard look at how and when they deliver what you ordered dont waste your time or $$ here. I would recommed that Richie if there is a Richie spend some time in your murrieta restaurant and expirence the worst service in the restaurant business

We have lived here for 6+ years and have found this diner to be at the top of our list of favorites. Great family place with good food at affordable prices.
