This is the greatest place for Sushi in Temecula-Murrieta. We go here at least once a week and have only had great service and amazing sushi as well as other Japanese dishes.

We have tried other Sushi Restraunts, but we always go back to Oishi's and have decided that it's not worth our time or money to keep trying other Sushi Bars, we love Oishi's and they have the best chefs in town....

I have tried ALL of the Sushi options in Temecula and believe me, as someone who really knows Sushi and loves it, I can assure everyone that Oishi is the best around by far. The specialty hand rolls, in particular the Salmon Roll, are amazing and if you are a Sushi fanatic, give all of these a try. The fish is always super fresh. The presenations are stylish. The proportions are very generous.

I wasn't going to say anything about today's crazy Sushi business, but there is a limit to stay silent. first of all, everybody is using this term, "Sushi chef" too casually; in fact, I have only seen handful of Sushi chefs within 1 hour drive. When I trained all the assistant chefs at 25,000SqFt restaurant in South N.J. and at over 400 seating place in Hollywood, so-called "Sushi chefs" with more than 5 years of experience all told me that they could not work with my basic sushi bar manual, Why? They have been working with such bad habits and struggling to correct them. Now, wherever I see, I find this, "Fusion, new style Sashimi, creation or art". Listen!, "Please, don't even think of mentioning these terms", if you have no idea in basic sushi and Japanese cooking. I have been sending my basic "Sushi bar manual" and "Sushi bar servers manual" to many new restaurant owners all over the world, so if you need one, let me know, and I love to send it to you. Secondly, I understand that you have to increase your profit in whatever the way possible, but selling sushi under the fake name is just insulting your customers. If you are using "Color enhanced frozen bluefin tuna", "Don't call it very fresh", "How can you sell Tilapia as snapper or Tai?", "Escolar as white tuna or ono?". I won't puchase any of these fish to make money or fool my customers. My similar comment was pulled off from other sushi chef's web site and at same time, I was called, "Elegant or XXXX"; however, there are many chefs who agree with me, and we are trying to improve our sushi business together. Thirdly, "Sorry, if I look upset at sushi bar recently", and it is because of several customers asking me, "Why don't you have Ono?, Bluefin? and others?". We are serving fresh Hawaiian Big eye tuna, and it is my favorite tuna in the world. Now, we are serving "Suzuki" seabass from Japan, and those true sushi lovers are digging it. At end, it is very difficult time for all the restaurant business, but we will keep on improving our sushi and menu by selecting better quality ingredients. "Come on!", "Tell me something!".

This is hands down the best Sushi bar that this town has ever seen and I've been to all of them. Jake is there to deliver Osaka style and the fish is amazingly fresh. The heart of this place is in the custom roll in which the dinner will be dazzled by the boys who are a fun bunch. The atmoshpere is tasteful and clean. I have had friends that I've taken there and when the rolls come out they've actually, on more than one occasion, grabed for their cell phones to take pictures. The price is low considering the quality. A must try for anyone who loves sushi!

When I get tired of Mexican food Sushi is one of my top choices. Last night my wife and I went to Oishi. We both felt thisis some of the best Sushi in the valley. The check was not that high, the fish was fresh and the service was on top of everything. If you want to worry about price you should quit eating sushi all together. i like good sushi and am willing to pay more than what we did. Max and Jake were very nice to talk with and I would recommend this place to any sushi lover.

I have to agree with Dave below. The slices are a bit on the thin side. Still a good place though. Chef was very friendly.

We went to Oishi for the first time and really enjoyed it. This is the best sushi we've had in this area. The fish was fresh, the sushi chef was friendly and he created some special rolls for us that were phenomenal. We would definitely go back.

I have been to Oishi more than a handfull of times and have always been impressed. I am always looking for true authentic Japanese flavor and Oishi comes very close to the cooking I grew up with. Anytime someone asks me to suggest a good Japanese and/or sushi restaurant, I have recommended Oishi and my friends have come back to me and said they agree that the food is fabulous and the service is outstanding.

Note from new chef: after reading all the reviews of other sushi bars in this area, I wonder why most of negative comments are on the price and size of sushi. I had a chance to spend several monthes at East cost and Hollywood last year, and I felt some great demands for better quality and higher grade ingredients and fish, specially tuna and "Tai", snapper. Price of tuna ranges from $6.50 to $18.50 per LB for yellowfin, and it goes up with bigeye and bluefin. Our motto is to make sushi with the highest quality seafood in this area; therefore, we even don't think of using those frozen colored tuna or "Izumi dai", frozen terapia. And, cleanliness is very important factor in sushi business; however, I have met and known more than enough so-called sushi chefs who should not be in sushi bar. Once I sent a similar message to sushi chef's communication site, few called me "Elegant" or "XXXXXX". My all intention is to improve entire sushi quality and chefs? at same time. If you have any quetion about sushi including rice, seaweed, vinegar, soy sauce, wasabi and ginger, just shoot me a message. By the way, items mentioned above are very important, and I have been searching for better products all the time; in fact, I will change our ginger, "Gari", "Wasabi" and "Nori" again. Chef,

Yeah, the "old gang" is there to make you feel at home and charge the same outrageous amounts that they did at Nihon. Cripe, talk about "old home week"! If it weren't for the fact that the sushi is good then this would be just another quasi-watering hole for the Temecula Old Guard. I tell ya, go to Woomi and have it done the way it is supposed to be done or go to the Japanese version of "Cheers" and chuckle to the same dull jokes with the rest of them.
