We attended a wedding rehearsal dinner (10/2/09) held on the second floor open air / enclosed patio. The venue, food and service were outstanding. Parking is plentiful.

This was my second visit. Our party of four started off with drinks on a Sunday evening. Bartender Philip was great. But the dinner service was very very slow. I again had the chili Stuffed Chicken which was wonderful. But my boyfriend had the fish of the day (tilapia). This was horrible. The rice had absolutely no taste as did the fish. We also ordered the blackened shrimp which was a bit overcooked and dry. Mixed reviews here!

We went awhile back while my son was in town for lunch. The service was horrible and slow. My son ordered the Monte cristo sandwich (usually battered and fried) Instead it came on what looked like two pieces of french toast and it was Texas toast of all things. It was very soggy and COLD. He sent it back saying it was not good and not what was expected of the sandwich. It took 20 minutes to get a replacement meal, which was blah too. I had the chicken piccata salad and the dressing tasted like oil. No flavor at all and a cheap oil at that. We will not go back.

slow service, undercooked hamburgbers, food very average not worth the very long wait!
The wait was for our order not for a table!

I brought two business clients there the other day for a lunch. I was eager to eat there as I heard mixed reviews. I was pleased to find that the service was excellent, I believe her name was Jessica. She realized that we were having a meeting and eating lunch and came in at appropriate times. We had two order the Monte Cristo and both mentioned it was the best they have ever had. I had the special of the day Tiliapia with a avacado salsa served over rice and veggies. The rice was cooked perfect and the pan seared fish was moist and well seasoned. I will be back for non work related dining! It was GREAT

Ate here recently for the 3rd time and was not pleased. Poor drink menu and cold food. The atmosphere has gone down as well. It's too bad since this restaurant is in such a nice setting in Old Town and has so much potential. Carol's is still my favorite Baily Restaurant, although I have only been to Baily's upstairs once. It was just okay and we have not been back.

This is one of my favorite independants. I own a shop in Old Town and I whenever anyone asks me a good place for lunch or dinner, I always tell them Front Street Bar & Grill. My personal favorite is the Chicken Schnitzel, the BLT Burger is awesome and the fried artichokes are a must. I've also had a large event here and will do so again next time there is a need; they totally customized the menu to my needs and the service was incredible. Old Town is changing and it would be great if locals would venture down and give this place a try. I've also been to Sunday Brunch Live, which I believe is back and the food and entertainment were top notch. One last tip for locals, I believe Tuesday's you can get bottles of Temecula wine half price. My husband and I eat here at least once a month.

My husband and I ate here about a month ago. We ordered the hummus appetizer. It was HORRIBLE!!! It tasted like cold refried beans. When we told the manager, he laughed (?) and took it off the bill. I actually calledd the next day to get the ingredients, maybe they used pinto beans instead of garbanzo? No, normal recipe, just horribly done. Won't go back. In-laws had a bad experience upstairs as well. Why is it so hard to find a good, non-chain place out here???

What happened to the Irish Nachos? The downstairs menu was changed, and is a bit too fancy now. Bring back the bar food! If we want fancy we will go upstairs! The Irish Nachos were awesome.

I took my brother to dinner at Front Street Grill a week ago, Sunday night. We both ordered the Chicken Snitzle. It was served with sour cream mashed potatoes, broccolinni and carrots. Wow, was it bland. The chicken was tender, but needed more sauce. The mashed potatoes were dry and bland. The vegetables had no butter or seasonings at all. I ordered a lemon drop martini, and it was watered down and undrinkable.

Major disappointment. I hear the upstairs Baily's is better. I would hope so.

There are two dining areas to this restaurant.

The downstairs is more casual and its very noisy. The upstairs is very nice, quiet, white table cloth kind of place.

The wine list is better upstairs, and the menu is different too.

I recommend the upstairs over the downstairs.

The cobb salad is good at lunch, but you can only have that downstairs. And they have great iced tea.

The wine list downstairs is terrible, so if you want a nice bottle of wine or champagne, I'd suggest eating in the upstairs dining room.

Request a table by the fireplace on the outside patio or the corner window.

Only had drinks, they make some really good margaritas! Great atmosphere on the patio.

So-so. Excellent quality meat in hamburgers. They really need to to something about the tasteless, crumbly hamburger buns.

Went with my boyfriend, we were pleasently surprised by the great atmoshphere, and the food was very fresh and excellent tasting. Can't wait to go back.
