I think this place is horrible. The service is great if all you want to do is stare at lame girls. Other than that - the food is gross, the drinks are crappy and over priced, and it smells so bad in this place.

Sounds like the owner of Lil's and other places he owns should get the message about Richard or any other management he has approved. That behavior is totally unacceptable.

Worst dining experience in my LIFE! Richard the manager at Texas Lil's in Old Town Temecula should be fired.
Richard was completely rude to me and to my co-workers and abusive to one of the women in particular. He began barking at her for trying to get a little more shade and after we'd received our food, came back to yell at her about slipping her feet out of her shoes while she was eating.
She was mortified, we were embarrassed for her, and we just couldn't believe how badly he'd treated her. When I spoke to him to get some resolution, he proceeded to tell me it was his word against ours and that "he had witnesses" Witnesses! She was too shy and embarrassed to say anything, but I proceeded to get the owner's name and he told me they would back him up...it wouldn't do any good.
I love Old Town Temecula and have visited Texas Lil's quite a few times...but I would NEVER go there again and will tell everyone I know about my terrible experience. I sincerely hope that the owner reviews their customer policies in the future and pays particular attention to their manager, Richard. Service like this is always unacceptable and in these economic times, I hope they understand it's just not worth it.
I know they're a staple in Old Town Temecula and nobody might read this, but I do hope I can at least warn you about the management and their terrible service approach.

Went there last Friday @ 6:00 pm w/my boss and his wife. BAD SERVICE!!!!! Our waiteres could'nt take a drink order right. It took 40 min for our food to come and that's after we asked where our food was.( there was only 3 other tables with people) They were not busy. We have been comming here since they opened and I don't think we will be comming back any time soon. The food was cold to.

I have been going to Lil's for years and have enjoyed the food, drinks, atmospere and service. The staff and Management have always treated me as if I was one of the family.

Went there on a whim. Other than the parties of 30 AND 60 that were just finishing up their food and grog, we enjoyed the food and ambience.
The plate of beef ribs is the way to go. I went in there hungry and left with a to-go box, needless to say the portion of ribs was huge and also messy, good and tasty. Family also had a ch burger,cheese burger, chili and salad. Satisfied palates walking out the door

Great place and food went with 4 couples, in august servers were very nice, steaks were awsome nice crowd, and manager was very nice, will go back again when in town.

My husband and I visited Lil's last month and had steaks. The food was great...a totally mouth-watering steak. The only thing lacking was the service. The place was empty and the waitress was visiting with her boyfirend in the corner. So, when we needed extra sour cream, my husband had to get up, go over to her and ask for it.

If you're looking for a good steakhouse, keep looking. The food hear is remniscent of a frozen meal.

Ok food, Ok prices, the outside got a face lift the inside needs one too. The girls are great.
